Tara Ashcraft

Hi y'all. I'm glad you're here and appreciate the opportunity to introduce myself. Since high school, I have been designing and hosting events. My friends and I would bring in covered dishes and host senior lunches in our science teacher's classroom. Shortly after that, I hosted my friends when they came home from college on winter break. I had a subscription to InStyle Magazine and there was an ongoing column about hosting. I replicated (on a TIGHT budget) every detail from a fall issue, but Southern Living has always been my hosting Bible. From those early days of hosting on a shoestring, I've kept the doors open. Over time, I've had my own event planning business, An Imagined Reality, which I closed when my kids were little and my plate was full. I've also designed events professionally as part of my work in communications and public relations.

The Pink House

Our home and boutique event venue is a historic home in the village of Davidson, just minutes from Main Street. It's been the open arms of the community for over a hundred years. It's hosted everything from weddings, to wakes, to fundraisers, to countless family dinners and holiday hosting. It's held tears, belly laughs, community building, and memory making.
